Whether you’re a history buff, or keen for an adventure that’s the perfect combination of ride, short & mellow hike including a suspension bridge crossing, and just the right amount of quirky, Whistler’s famous Train Wreck Hike is for you!

Roughly 10km South of the Village, just across the highway from Function Junction, you’ll find parking and the trail head that leads you to this unique site, where in 1956, a freight train travelling just a little to quickly left the tracks and made the woods by the Cheakamus River its permanent home.

Famished after your hike? Why not head across to Function Junction for a quick bite and/or refreshing beverage at one of the top notch local cafes, breweries or juice bars?
